How it works

From the form to the quotes on your phone, every step, including what partners will ask you and what we do if nobody's available.

1

Basics

ZIP, vehicle, insured or not, contact details. About 3 minutes.

2

Confirmation

Email (and text if you opted in) repeating what happens next.

3

Routing

Up to four licensed partners in your state. No auctions, no reselling.

4

Partner contact

Quotes by phone, text or email, using the method you chose.

5

You compare

Same limits, same deductibles, then price. Buy or walk away.

What partners will ask

To turn an estimate into a real quote

Our form asks only what's needed to route you. Licensed partners then collect what insurers require, directly from you, never through us.

What our form collectsa fraction of what a final quote needs
basics
  • VIN for each vehicle partner asks
  • Driver's license numbers for all household drivers partner asks
  • Driving history for the last 3 to 5 years partner asks
  • Current limits and deductibles (dec page) partner asks
  • Annual mileage and vehicle use partner asks

What to expect

The details that matter

  • TimingWe route requests promptly after they're submitted. Partner response times vary, often the same business day, but it depends on the partner and your location.
  • Quotes are estimatesA quote is the partner's estimate based on what you've told them. The final premium can change after underwriting, a records check or corrected information. Read the policy before you pay.
  • Comparing fairlyLine up quotes with the same liability limits, deductibles and extras before comparing price. Our coverage guide shows what each line means.
  • If no partner is availablePartner coverage varies by state and profile. If we can't route your request, we'll tell you by email so you can contact insurers directly.
Keep in mind

Don't cancel before you're covered

If you switch insurers, make sure the new policy's start date is on or before the day your old one ends. A gap in coverage (even a day) can raise future rates and leave you uninsured. Your new partner can help line up the dates.

Who's on the other end

About Insurance Partners

Insurance Partners are independent insurance agencies and insurance carriers that enroll in our network to receive quote requests from consumers in the states where they are licensed.

  • Who pays us

Partners pay us a referral fee for each request we send them. That fee is not added to your premium; it's a marketing cost for the partner.

  • What partners confirm

When they join, partners confirm the states in which they hold an active license and the types of policies they write.

  • No rankings, no endorsements

We do not rank partners by price or quality and we do not endorse any insurer.

  • Verify any license

You can verify any agent's or carrier's license through your state's department of insurance. We encourage it.
