1. Who we are and what this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how QuoteWheels.com ("QuoteWheels," "we," "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit quotewheels.com (the "Site"), request auto insurance quotes or contact us, and the choices and rights you have.

QuoteWheels.com is a marketing and referral platform. We are not an insurance company, agency or producer and we do not sell insurance. Quotes come from our Insurance Partners, the licensed insurance agents and carriers who receive your request ("Insurance Partners").

By using the Site you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Quote requests: name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, vehicle year, make and model, whether you are currently insured, number of vehicles, your contact preferences and your consent selections.
• Contact and support messages: your name, email address, topic and message content.
• Privacy requests: the information you provide so we can verify and respond.

We do not ask for, and you should not submit, driver's license numbers, Social Security numbers, VINs or payment information through our forms. Insurance Partners will collect any such details they need directly from you.

Information collected automatically

• Device and usage data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, referring URL, pages viewed, time on page, links clicked, and the date and time of your visit.
• Cookies and similar technologies: used to remember preferences, understand how the Site is used and measure advertising. See Section 7.
• Consent records: when you submit a form we record the exact consent language displayed, the time of submission, the page URL and your browser information to document your consent.

Information from other sources

We may receive limited information from advertising and analytics partners (for example, which advertisement brought you to the Site) and from Insurance Partners (for example, confirmation that they contacted you, so we can measure the service). We do not purchase consumer contact lists.

3. How we use information

• To match and forward your quote request to Insurance Partners licensed in your state whose criteria fit your request.
• To communicate with you about your request, including confirmations and follow-up, by the methods you consented to.
• To respond to your questions, support requests and privacy requests.
• To operate, secure, maintain and improve the Site, including troubleshooting, analytics and testing.
• To measure and improve our advertising and understand which sources bring visitors to the Site.
• To detect, prevent and address fraud, abuse, security incidents and violations of our Terms & Conditions.
• To comply with legal obligations and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

4. No sharing of your data

No sharing of your data. QuoteWheels.com does not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Information you submit in a quote request is used only by QuoteWheels.com.

5. Phone calls and email

When you submit a quote request and provide the required consent, you agree that QuoteWheels.com and matched Insurance Partners may contact you by phone (including calls using an automatic telephone dialing system or a prerecorded or artificial voice) and email about auto insurance quotes and related products, even if your number appears on a do-not-call registry. This consent is not a condition of purchase. You may withdraw it at any time by emailing info@quotewheels.com or telling the caller. Withdrawing consent with us does not automatically withdraw it with an Insurance Partner who already received your request; you may need to tell that partner directly.

Marketing emails from us include an unsubscribe link. Transactional emails about a request you submitted may continue after you unsubscribe from marketing.

6. Email and SMS Communications

When you opt in to communications from QuoteWheels.com, you agree that:

• You may receive up to 6 informational messages per month. Messages may include updates about your quote request, reminders, and important notifications about your request.
• Standard message and data rates may apply. Charges depend on your mobile carrier plan.
• Message delivery depends on your carrier and network conditions. Some messages may be delayed or may not be delivered due to carrier or connectivity issues.
• QuoteWheels.com is not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery performance is controlled by your mobile carrier.

7. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies, pixels, local storage and similar technologies for these purposes:

• Strictly necessary: to make the Site work, keep it secure and remember form progress.
• Analytics: to understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it.
• Advertising measurement: to understand which advertisements bring visitors to the Site and to limit how often you see our ads.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and most browsers let you delete or block them. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works. Where required, we honor opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control for the browser on which they are set. We do not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, for which no industry standard has been adopted.

8. Data retention and security

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal and record-keeping obligations (including documenting consent), resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Consent records are typically retained for at least five years. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and limited employee access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your privacy rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:

• Access / know: to confirm whether we process your personal information and receive a copy.
• Correct: to fix inaccurate information.
• Delete: to have us delete personal information we hold, subject to legal exceptions.
• Opt out of sale or sharing / targeted advertising: to direct us not to "sell" or "share" your personal information or use it for targeted advertising, as those terms are defined by applicable law.
• Portability: to receive your information in a portable format.
• Non-discrimination: we will not deny services, charge different prices or provide a different level of service because you exercised a right.
• Appeal: if we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision and we will explain the outcome.

We will verify your identity by matching the information you provide with information we hold and may ask for additional details. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission. We respond within the time required by applicable law (generally 45 days).

California residents

Notice at collection. In the preceding 12 months we have collected the categories of personal information described in Section 2: identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address), customer records information (contact details), commercial information (the request you submitted, including vehicle information), internet or network activity (usage data), geolocation data (ZIP code and approximate location from IP address), and inferences drawn from the foregoing. We collect it for the purposes in Section 3 and retain it as described in Section 8.

Sale and sharing. Providing device data to advertising partners may constitute a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act. The categories involved are identifiers, internet activity and geolocation data, disclosed to advertising partners. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. Sensitive personal information. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted by law.

California residents may also request information about disclosures to third parties for their direct marketing purposes under California's "Shine the Light" law by emailing info@quotewheels.com.

Other states

Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may exercise the rights above in the manner described.

10. Children

The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last revised. If we make material changes, we will post a notice on the Site or contact you where required by law. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
