Advertising disclosures
How we're paid, what we are and aren't, and the limits of what we can promise.
1. We are not an insurer and we do not sell insurance
QuoteWheels.com is a marketing and referral platform. We are not an insurance company, agency, broker or producer, we do not hold an insurance license in any state, and we do not sell, solicit, negotiate, bind or underwrite insurance. We do not set premiums, determine eligibility or make coverage decisions. Any insurance transaction is between you and a licensed Insurance Partner or insurer.
2. How we are compensated
Insurance Partners (independent, licensed insurance agents and carriers) pay us a referral fee for quote requests we forward to them. This fee is our revenue. It is a marketing expense of the partner and is not added to your premium. We do not charge consumers, we do not receive commissions on policies sold, and we do not receive compensation from the sale of text-message opt-in information (we don't sell it).
3. Quotes are estimates from third parties
Any quote you receive is prepared by the Insurance Partner based on the information you provide. It is an estimate, not an offer or contract of insurance, and the final premium may differ after underwriting, a records check or corrected information. Coverage exists only under a policy issued by an insurer. Read the policy before you pay.
4. No guarantee of quotes, rates or savings
We cannot guarantee that you will receive any particular number of quotes, any particular rate or any savings. Your request is forwarded to up to four Insurance Partners; whether and how quickly they respond depends on partner availability in your state and your profile. Rates depend on many individual factors and vary from insurer to insurer. Comparing quotes is how you find out whether a better-fitting policy exists for you; nothing on this site should be read as a promise that one does.
5. No endorsement; verify licenses
We do not rank, recommend or endorse any Insurance Partner or insurer, and inclusion in our network is not an endorsement of quality or price. You can verify any agent's or carrier's license and complaint history through your state's department of insurance. We encourage you to do so before purchasing.
6. Availability varies by state
Insurance products, coverage options, discounts and Insurance Partners vary by state, and not every partner is available everywhere. Only partners licensed in your state receive your request. If no partner is available for your location or profile, we will tell you by email.
7. Educational content is not advice
Our coverage guide, FAQs and other content describe how auto insurance is commonly structured. They are general educational information only, not insurance, legal or financial advice, and not a description of any specific policy. State requirements differ. For advice about your situation, talk with a licensed agent.
