Frequently asked questions
Cost, quotes, credit, privacy and how to make it all stop.
No. QuoteWheels.com is a marketing and referral platform. We don't sell, solicit or negotiate insurance and we don't hold an insurance license. We forward your quote request to licensed insurance agents and carriers ('Insurance Partners') who prepare quotes and, if you choose, sell you a policy.
No. Requesting quotes is free and there's no obligation to buy. Insurance Partners pay us a referral fee for each request we send them. The fee is their marketing expense and does not change the premium you're quoted.
Our network is made up of independent, licensed insurance agencies and carriers. Which partners receive your request depends on your state and profile. We don't publish partner rankings and we don't endorse any insurer.
Partner availability varies by state. We accept requests from anywhere in the United States; if no partner is available for your location and profile, we'll tell you by email so you can contact insurers directly.
Your request goes to up to four partners. How many respond depends on partner availability where you live and your profile. We cannot promise a specific number of quotes.
No one can promise that. Rates depend on many factors and differ from insurer to insurer. Comparing quotes is how you find out whether a better-fitting or lower-priced policy exists for you. We don't advertise savings figures for that reason.
No. A quote is an estimate prepared by the partner based on the information you provide. The final premium is set after underwriting, a records check and confirmation of your details. Review the policy before paying.
QuoteWheels does not check your credit. Some insurers use a credit-based insurance score where state law permits; insurers generally describe that as a soft inquiry that does not affect your credit score. Confirm with the partner if you're unsure.
To finalize a quote, most insurers need the VIN, driver's license numbers for all drivers on the policy, driving history, current coverage limits and annual mileage. Provide those details to the licensed partner directly, not through our form.
We use it to route your request to matched partners, to communicate with you about it, and to operate and improve the service. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
To withdraw your consent to be contacted by us or by partners, email info@quotewheels.com. You can also tell a partner directly that you don't want further contact.
Yes. Email info@quotewheels.com or use our Your Privacy Choices page. Partners who already received your request keep their own records under their own policies.
